我发现,许多年轻人现在最喜欢的饮品就是咖啡,而且喝咖啡已经成了一种时尚。过去,有很多人会专门去星巴克打卡拍照,以此来彰显自己的生活品味和社会地位。但今天,我想谈一-talk about a country where people are absolutely crazy about coffee, and yet, Starbucks is not popular at all. In fact, it's like trying to sell ice to an Eskimo.
So, which country in Asia loves coffee the most? It has to be South Korea. The Koreans are absolutely obsessed with coffee - they can't get enough of it! Walk down the streets of Seoul, and you'll see Koreans clutching their coffee cups everywhere - especially during the cold winters.
Korean winters can be bitterly cold, so it's no wonder that Koreans love sipping on hot coffee to keep warm. And let me tell you, there are more cafes in Korea than you can shake a stick at! Every 10 shops or so, there's a cafe. These cafes aren't just any ordinary places; they're stylishly decorated with unique themes that make them Instagram-worthy destinations.
I remember watching this Korean drama called "The Coffee Prince" years ago. The entire storyline revolved around a beautiful cafe owned by one of the main characters. Many Korean dramas feature scenes where couples meet or have intimate moments in cozy cafes - it's clear that these establishments play a significant role in Korean culture.
But here's the thing: despite being caffeine aficionados, Koreans don't use coffee as a means to stay up late or feel energized throughout the day like some people do elsewhere. They've grown up drinking coffee since childhood and now find themselves unable to function without their daily dose of joe!
Korean cafes offer more than just great brews; they also serve an array of delicious desserts and treats like patbingsu (shaved ice dessert) and hotteok (sweet pancakes). We ordered two servings of patbingsu for our group - each serving was massive enough for 4-6 people!
One had strawberries topped with cheese cake while another featured traditional rice cakes infused with fruit flavors - both were incredibly tasty and offered distinct flavors from other cultures we'd tried before.
In conclusion, if you ever find yourself in South Korea during winter months looking for your next caffeine fix amidst stunning scenery and mouth-watering desserts at every turn... well then look no further!
