As night began to fall, they slowly made their way back up towards the surface, breaking through into a world bathed in golden light once more. Their fingers were still intertwined as if reluctant to let go of each other's hands even for a moment longer than necessary.

"Thank you," Summer said softly after taking off her diving gear on shoreside grassy bank while gazing at him with eyes full of gratitude but also curiosity about this new beginning.

"Thank you," Lin Xuan replied gently yet sincerely before leaning down toward those lips so close yet not quite touching hers anymore now that life had brought them closer together - under water where words alone couldn't reach depths like these emotions do when hearts connect deeply enough beneath waves' sway...
